Lab/Pathology Services
Atlanta Medical Center's Clinical Laboratory provides our physicians and staff with the information they require to diagnose and treat patients.
Atlanta Medical Center continues to acquire and implement some of the latest technology to service the practice needs of our physicians. Staff is composed of professional personnel who include Pathologists, Medical Technologists, Medical Laboratory Technicians, Cytologists, Histologists and Phlebotomists. This team acquires and analyzes patient specimens in a tightly controlled professional environment, with the goal of providing accurate test results to physicians in a timely manner.
The Laboratory at Atlanta Medical Center provides comprehensive inpatient and outpatient testing services in several areas. For clinical pathology, laboratory services are offered in the Blood Bank as well as for laboratory sections such as Chemistry, Hematology, Immunology, Microbiology and Urinalysis departments. Histology and Cytology analysis are available through Anatomic Pathology.
Atlanta Medical Center's Laboratory is accredited by the College of American Pathologists, American Association of Blood Banks and the State of Georgia. The Laboratory is located on the first floor in the main hospital. For more information, call (404) 265-4100.
