Atlanta Medical Center (AMC) has a 37 bed ICU unit that houses: Surgical ICU, cardiovascular ICU and a coronary/medical ICU.

ICU Medical Team
A multidisclipinary team consisting of physicians, nurses, therapist, case managers and chaplains provide care to all patients in the intensive care unit. The primary care physician coordinates these services.

Visiting Times
* 10:30 - 10:45 a.m.
* 12:30 - 12:45 p.m.
* 2:30 - 2:45 p.m.
* 4:30 - 4:45 p.m.
* 8:30 - 8:45 p.m.

Gifts and flowers are not allowed in the ICU due to lack of space; however, balloons and cards are welcome.

Patient Updates
If a patient requires admission to an ICU, his status is automatically critical. Calls to the information desk will provide you with more information. One designated family member may call directly into the ICU for information; however, limited information is given over the phone. We suggest that distant relatives and friends contact the immediate family for patient information.
