MedPost Urgent Care to Open Three More Centers in Atlanta

MedPost Urgent Care is expanding its network in Atlanta with three new centers on July 7, to provide residents and employers with high-quality, convenient and efficient urgent care.  The new MedPost centers will be located in Stockbridge, Stone Mountain, and Woodstock. They, along with the area’s five existing centers in Atlanta, Alpharetta and Marietta, are part of a growing national network staffed by physician specialists in primary care, internal medicine and emergency medicine, as well as nurse practitioners and other health professionals.

MedPost Urgent Care is easy to spot with an eye-catching red and black logo highlighted with an exclamation point. The walk-in centers are open extended hours and weekends and treat patients of all ages. The new centers will be located at:

  • Stockbridge – 3576 Hwy 138 SE, Stockbridge, GA 30281
  • Stone Mountain – 1230 S. Hairston Road, Stone Mountain, GA 30088
  • Woodstock - 12201 Highway 92, Woodstock, GA 30188

“Our goal is to offer the right type of care at the right time in a convenient and compassionate way,” said Alan Cason, CEO of MedPost. “We play an important role in providing timely care for people when their primary care physician is not available and also for those individuals who are without a regular doctor, relieving the strain on busy emergency departments that are equipped to handle more serious patient conditions.”

MedPost Urgent Care centers also offer follow-up care and specialty referrals when needed. They provide a comprehensive array of services ranging from flu shots and other immunizations to treatment for such conditions as upper respiratory infections, sinus problems, allergic reactions, fever, ear aches and orthopedic injuries.

The new facilities will be part of a network of 27 MedPost centers located in Arizona, California, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, Missouri, Tennessee and Texas. The Stockbridge and Stone Mountain facilities will be affiliated with Atlanta Medical Center, and the Woodstock facility will be affiliated with North Fulton Hospital. The affiliations will offer patients timely referrals to specialty care when needed.

According to Thomas Casaday, President & CEO of Atlanta Medical Center, “We are proud to be a partner with MedPost Urgent Care. It enables us to provide high-quality, convenient urgent care to our communities and participate in a strong, trusted network of urgent care centers around the country.”
