Urgent Care Center Opens in Camp Creek
People who live or work in Camp Creek now have a convenient option for health care.
Urgent Care - Atlanta Medical Center has opened in the Publix shopping center off Camp Creek Parkway.
The urgent care center is a walk-in clinic for the treatment of minor illnesses and injuries. No appointments are necessary, and the center is open seven days a week, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on weekdays and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on weekends.
The hours are designed to be convenient for people who live in Camp Creek and work downtown or in midtown, so they can see a physician before or after work. It is also close by for people who work in the area.
“We know there’s a need for people to be able to see a physician outside traditional office hours,” says Dr. Sharad Patel, director of urgent care center operations for Tenet Healthcare, the parent company of Atlanta Medical Center. “This location, close to the airport and centrally located in the shopping district, is a great alternative for people who need to see a doctor before or after work.”
The center offers continuity of care, as physicians at the center will communicate about treatment with the patient’s primary physician. If a patient does not have a physician, the center’s staff will help refer them to one. Staff at the center will also make follow-up appointments to specialists as needed.
The Urgent Care Center, which opened in January, has three physicians and five staff members.
Urgent Care – Atlanta Medical Center is located at 3730 CarMia Drive, Atlanta, GA 30331. Hours are Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. – 8 p.m., Saturday and Sunday, 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. Most insurance is accepted, and no appointment is necessary. For information, call 404-344-7286.
