Many people feel helpless in the wake of the bombings at the Boston Marathon on Monday. One way you can help locally is to donate blood.
Atlanta Medical Center, in conjunction with LifeSouth Community Blood Centers, is holding a blood drive in honor of the Boston Marathon victims, to support our local community.
The blood drive will be 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. Friday, April 19. A blood mobile will be set up at the main entrance of Atlanta Medical Center, 303 Parkway Drive NE, Atlanta, GA 30312. No appointments are necessary.
Scores of people have already turned out in Boston to donate blood, and the blood supply there is full. Donations from this blood drive will stay in the Atlanta area for people who need them.
Donors will receive a free lunch tote.
