Senior medical student electives in Internal Medicine and all medicine subspecialties are available. Preference will be given to those students expressing an interest in serving as a Resident in Internal Medicine.

While on in-patient services, students are required to participate fully as integral team members, assuming clinical responsibilities commensurate with their level of training. Daily morning report, noon conference, Grand Rounds, and case conferences enhance the student's clinical experience. A dynamic teaching faculty provides a stimulating academic environment with external opportunity for bedside teaching by attending physicians.

The number of students on each rotation is limited; therefore, early application for these electives is recommended.
